BIOGRAPHY
Faris is an Ogdenite artist who deals in largely abstract and gestural paintings with magical realist elements. These works capture a sense of mystery and vibrant color that evokes a long-lost sense of nostalgia. Faris lists his main artistic influences as Van Gogh, Malcom Leipke, Alphonse Mucha, John Singer Sargent and Moebius.

In 2017, Faris was selected as artist of the year at his high school. In the same year he won best of state at the Eccles Community Art Center Secondary School Competition. Faris has performed for multiple events including charity auctions for the Youth Futures Shelter Home, live paintings at the Ogden, Salt Lake, and Park City Farmer's markets along with participating greatly in Raw Art Events. He studied with renowned oil painters Stephen Henry and Glen Hawkins for many years under an apprenticeship and has been creating art for more than a decade.
